To do this, we left much of the natural performance of each instrument intact. Tuning: Throughout the entire production process of every library we create, great care has been taken to make sure the tuning of each instrument is as realistic as possible. We feel that it’s worth the effort this is a fundamental aspect of the library, and will not be changed. This requires practising playing your melodies slightly ahead of the beat, which will become natural after a short while. To achieve this, we incorporated a delay system, whereby each new note you play in a legato phrase will be delayed by up to around 1/4 of a second. The audio outputs of your KONTAKT Instrument are now routed to your audio interface's physical outputs 3 and 4 through a separate output channel strip.Latency / Delay: All of the libraries in the Cinematic Studio Series have been designed to maximise realism, especially when playing legato. The button 3|4 at the bottom of the Output Channel strip now reflects the changes you made to the audio routing. Close the channel output configuration window by clicking Ok.In the channel output configuration menu, select the physical outputs of your audio interface that you want to route the channel strip's audio to.Open the Channel Output Configuration menu by clicking the button 1|2 at the bottom of the output channel strip. This output channel will automatically be routed to the first stereo output of your audio interface. This will create an additional Stereo Output Channel Strip in the Outputs Section of KONTAKT, named after the Instrument routed to this output. If there is no available additional stereo output channel, choose Create separate Master Output Channel. Open the Instrument's Output drop-down menu and choose the stereo output you want to route the instrument to.In KONTAKT's header bar, click the Workspace icon and tick Outputs to show the Outputs section. To route an Instrument to another output of your audio interface, do the following: Once the audio interface driver is selected, the loaded KONTAKT Instruments will automatically be routed to your audio interface's first available stereo output. We will use the Komplete Audio 6 driver as an example here:Ĭonfiguring the Instrument's Output Channel In the Audio Tab of the Options dialog, select your audio interface from the Device drop-down menu.In KONTAKT's Main Control Panel, click the Options icon to open the Options dialog.Note: In case you are using KONTAKT as a plug-in in your DAW, the audio settings are being managed in the DAW's preferences.
